Following the tremendous success of our EKC book club last Fall, we heard educators from all corners of the globe asking for more opportunities to get together. Our new EKC Global Chats series is a space for sharing, asking for support, and brainstorming together.

Each month, we will tackle a different hot topic in literacy with an expert in the field, and then join in some global camaraderie and discussion. It's free to join!

Chat Date - June 2 | 7:00-8:00am EST
Topic - Research Rundown: Favorite Literacy Studies of the School Year

Have you seen Dr Neena Saha’s Reading Research Recaps popping up on your feed each month? They’re one of our favorite freebie discoveries–and now she’s coming to us (!) to talk about some of her favorite recent studies. We’ll get a chance to hear about the most interesting ones and then break out to talk through what these studies mean for our classrooms next year. Kick off your break feeling informed and excited to dig into new research along with global colleagues!

Dr. Neena Saha

Neena began her career in education as a classroom teacher for children with exceptional needs. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Neuroscience from Columbia University and her PhD in Special Education from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College. Dr. Saha’s doctoral work resulted in a patent. While at Elemeno®, she started the Reading Research Recap, a newsletter aimed at translating recent research into useful information for teachers. Elemeno® was acquired by MetaMetrics in 2021 and joined their team to help build out their early literacy products, tools and services. Neena left MetaMetrics full-time (she still consults) in 2023 to explore better ways of translating research at scale.
