Sentences are the building blocks for writing and a key component to unlocking comprehension for reading. In this course we will explore the challenges of syntax in reading and how you can support students in navigating complex sentences to lead to deeper thinking. We will also learn key sentence level activities for writing that help writers craft engaging sentences as well as refine grammar and syntax. We all want our students to engage in deep comprehension while reading and craft powerful pieces of writing. Through this course we will see how supporting at the sentence level is a key to this big and meaningful work!
